What times can i book for Outdoor Shoots?

Amanda wants to ensure that all of her outdoor shoots make the most of the very best natural lighting. e.g. The best times for great lighting at beaches are early morning and late evening. This means that in June, July and August, for example, beach shoots will be at 8am, 9am, 7:30pm and 8:30pm, and these times will vary month by month in Spring and Autumn.

How can I make the most of my newborn Mini shoot?

As the Mini shoot is limited to 20 minutes and Amanda wants to make the most of this time. If at all possible, please try to have baby fed and changed before the shoot. We understand how unpredictable babies can be and Amanda is happy for baby to be changed and settled as needed. A long sleeved vest in a neutral colour (beige, brown, not bright white) is ideal for your baby to wear for their shoot. It’s also helpful for parents to wear light neutral colours in case baby is unsettled and needs to be held while photographed. Your Mini shoot will focus on baby but you could be baby’s backdrop if needed!

Older baby enquiry: What if I have missed the newborn window?

After the first 2-3 weeks, Amanda recommends waiting for either 6-8 weeks of age to capture baby's first smiles, or a 'sitter shoot' - when baby can sit independently but isn't yet crawling. It's a fantastic age to capture baby’s emerging personality, expressions and interactions. This is usually around 6 months of age, depending on the baby. Please get in touch so we can help you arrange the perfect time for your shoot.

Maternity shoot: What package can I book?

You can book either a Mini or a Deluxe package for your maternity shoot, either indoors in the studio or outdoors on location. You can include your partner and/or children in your shoot with either package. You might also want to consider the popular 'Double Deluxe' package: if you book a maternity and newborn shoot together you have the option of a €850 (incl vat) package for two separate 40 minute shoots with all the benefits of two Deluxe shoots.

How does the client wardrobe work?

If you would like to avail of the client wardrobe, which is included in the Deluxe package, you simply let us know clothes sizes for Mum & children and Amanda will have some outfit options ready for you at your shoot! This is the easiest options for busy mums - no shopping, no extra appointments, just leave it to Amanda and arrive on the day to a perfectly coordinated hand picked selection of outfits in your sizes that will photograph beautifully! Amanda has dresses from size 6-22.

Clothing advice.

If you are availing of the client wardrobe included in the Deluxe package, Amanda recommends that Mums wear nude underwear for under her light coloured dresses.

Amanda doesn’t keep clothes for Dads as she finds they like to dress themselves, and also, they tend to already have the perfect clothes for a shoot! Amanda recommends for them a plain t-shirt, casual shirt or a t-shirt under an open shirt for a casual layered look, in neutral / earthy tones.

If you have booked a Mini package, or would feel more comfortable in your own clothes, Amanda recommends choosing a neutral palette - earthy tones and denims, for example, including max two prints and some texture. Avoid navy and black please. After booking you'll be able to send a picture to Amanda via Whatsapp of the clothes you are thinking of wearing, and she can offer advice and help you to make it all work well together for your shoot.

I'm body conscious, I don't know if I will feel comfortable in the client wardrobe.

As a mum of 3, Amanda understands how body conscious Mums can feel postpartum or at any time. Please rest assured that Amanda will quickly put you at ease and you will be delighted to have beautiful photos of you with your kids! Amanda has gorgeous dresses from size 6-22 that will help you to feel fabulous for your photos. They are loose and stretchy to be flattering and comfortable for postpartum Mamas and all Mamas. You can see sizes & images of the dresses on highlights on Amanda's Instagram, and pictures taken wearing them on her Instagram grid. If there's anything in particular that you like, you can let Amanda know. All that being said, if you know you would feel more comfortable in your own clothes, absolutely do that! You can send pictures to Amanda via Whatsapp of the clothes you are thinking of wearing, and she can offer advice and help you to make it all work well together for your shoot.

What if it rains for my outdoor shoot?

Amanda will contact you directly by text if your shoot needs to be changed due to bad weather. Usually you will be given the option of relocating to the studio on your original date, or rescheduling for your original outdoor location at the next available date.

When should I book my newborn shoot?

A.S.A.P!!… Seriously, as soon as you know or after your first scan.

Where is Amanda’s studio?

The studio is located in Amanda’s home in the seaside village of Greystones, Co. Wicklow just 100m for the marina and has on site parking available for clients. Following a shoot clients are welcome to stretch their legs and take a stroll around the seafront for perhaps to the Fat Fox coffee shop prior to departure.

Location shoots.

Amanda loves to shoot outdoors in Co. Wicklow and her favorite is Brittas Bay beach, but also has other beautiful locations in Co. Wicklow depending on the season.

Although not promised, Amanda can also consider other requested locations. These would be subject to additional travel fees.

The client wardrobe.

Amanda has curated a client wardrobe full of dresses and other pieces for Mums as well as a a wide range of adorable children’s outfits for newborns and older siblings.

By just supplying your sizes and children’s ages, Amanda will will be ready for your shoot day. Of course we have a dressing room on site for you to change and try out some options.

Amanda has found that Dads like to dress themselves, and also, they tend to already have the perfect clothes for a shoot in their own wardrobe! She recommends a plain t-shirt, casual shirt or a t-shirt under an open shirt for a casual layered look, in neutral / earthy tones.

Payments & Deposits.

We ask for a non-refundable deposit. Any balance must be paid in full on the day of your shoot.

Vouchers & e-Vouchers.

Once a postal voucher purchase has been made in our web shop, we will post a hard copy voucher out to you or you can collect it from the studio. Postage must allow for 3-5 working days. If you purchase an e-Voucher, simply follow the steps upon it’s email delivery and send to the recipient.
